Our Testimony

 

In August 2024, we had just returned from holiday and 24 hours of prayer and fasting.

Not too long after, I received a subtle feeling for us to visit South Africa for 2025 holiday. At that point it felt too sudden especially after we had just returned from a holiday but I still didn’t push back.

 

Much later in September 2024, the prompt became more prominent, and I couldn't resist it, so I started speaking to My husband about it. 

By 21st September 2024, we had purchased our flight tickets for SA. With so much excitement and anticipation to revisit South Africa, a Country that I dearly love. 

 

About a week or so after we purchased our tickets, I had a prompt to do a worship music recording, but I couldn't figure out how this would be possible since we don't live in South Africa. I started asking God for direction and thinking of my previous choir and worship involvements when I lived in South Africa. 

The first person I reached out to was Seth (the pianist on the 27th of September 2024 who was keen to support this assignment. I then reached out to my previous choir director who was also keen to support.

 

To summarise, we faced several huddles including not gaining permission to sing some existing worship songs. In December 2024 a key member of the choir was led to write original worship songs which we could record and then in February 2025 a week before commencement of rehearsals with the choir, the choir member withdrew the recording of the original songs. At this point, I needed to be still before the Lord to hear His voice and direction.During that week, precisely in 5 days the Holy spirit stirred up the gift of song writing in me which I never had prior to these disappointments. I was given 10 new worship songs in 5 days.I had already made financial commitments with the studio and videographer so I couldn’t turn back but rely solely on the Lord.

 

The next big huddle was that after receiving these new songs, the entire choir and full band withdrew from the production. At that point, I knew this was a spiritual battle and the enemy was trying hard to stop the work of God. I had to rely on God for direction. I made posters and also contacted a few people that I knew.

 

In summary, God provided all that was required for the production in spite of all the challenges, including sending people our way that we didn't know personally. There were other challenges that occurred during the production, but God was faithful to His words. At the end of the recording the most beautiful thing happened, a soul was saved back to the father. It was at that point that it dawned on me that the reason for this entire production was to save a child of the Lord. I felt honoured that the Lord would use me as a vessel for such an assignment, and I was obedient to Him even when it didn’t make sense to so many people. On the 19th of April 2025, the Worship Altar was Birthed.

It's important for believers to stay obedient to the voice and leading of the Holy Spirit even when it doesn't make sense. Just like Noah building the Ark, or Abraham willing to sacrifice Isaac and other similar Bible scriptures.
